Small, with both sticks
The R36S holds upright like the handhelds you grew up with, then adds two analogue sticks and four shoulder buttons for 3D games. Its 3.5-inch IPS screen is fully laminated at 640×480, the natural shape for classic 4:3 games.
Plays the classics
A quad-core RK3326 processor with Mali-G31 graphics runs arcade, 8-bit and 16-bit systems smoothly and handles PS1, with lighter N64 and PSP games on top. The system is open-source Linux.
Ready to play
The microSD slot takes cards up to 256GB. No memory card and no games are included, and you add your own legally obtained files. The 3500 mAh battery lasts about eight hours and recharges over USB-C in about two.
In the box
Console and a USB-C charging cable.
